Just as a reminder that our Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Holy Ascension will be hosting a Ukrainian Food Sale/ Picnic this Sunday, October 1 in our church parking lot.
It will not be as formal as the Ukrainian Day event held last June but the setup will be similar so that our team can practice and improve our serving and organizational skills in preparation for next year’s bigger and better Maplewood Ukrainian Day event.
This year’s event went a long way towards bringing additional income to our parish and building teamwork among our parishioners.
We encourage everyone to visit our Signup Genius link to volunteer for a spot or two for the afternoon.

We may have a small team but if we volunteer for a spot or two during the afternoon, we can not only earn additional funds for our parish but foster and environment of fun and fellowship within our parish community.
Please invite your family and friends to join us on Sunday. We’ll have tables set up to enjoy the food and music for the afternoon on site and plenty of great food to take home as well.

Thanks to Peter Molinsky and Andriy Kondryshyn for restoring some of the damage that has been plaguing our Church building! Also, thanks to George Shevchuk, who installed a new window for our neighbor that was broken by children during our parish picnic and to Danylu Gulak for painting!
